About this Event

Lego & Graffiti Art - Themed Activity Day at Derbyshire Hill Family & Community Centre for children and teens aged 7+ years old.

Come and join us for an exciting HAF Activity themed around Graffiti Art & Cookies, which includes drawing, spray painting, games and LEGO builds with our talented team from Powered by Hip Hop

Children who are eligible for free HAF activities are all welcome to join us for our FREE funded activity day.

Younger siblings can attend, but may not be able to participate in some age-related activities

We have the best Hip Hop and action-packed themed activities in St Helens, so don't miss out!

All children will receive a free packed lunch provided by St Helens Council

Who Can Get Involved?

We are looking for children and young people who meet the following HAF criteria and can commit to attending the activity day.

Must live in St Helens, eligible for free school meals or receipt of a support plan or on an EHCP plan

SEND Friendly – Providers at the event/venue have general SEND awareness, and small adjustments can be made. SEND Accessible – Physically accessible venue or event, please contact us if there is anything that we may need to know to make the activity more enjoyable.

Where?

Derbyshire Hill Family & Community Centre, 228 Derbyshire Hill Road, St Helens WA9 2LU

Are there any costs involved?

This project is funded by St Helens Council and the Department for Education. This means that the sessions are all free of charge for young people from St Helens who are eligible for free school meals, in receipt of a support plan or on an EHCP plan.

Spaces are limited so booking a place in advance is essential

Please be aware that anyone who reserves places on our activities and doesn't attend multiple times without cancelling will be removed from our current and future HAF registers. This is to ensure that families who want to attend aren't missing out due to families booking multiple activities on the same day for increased choice.

Additional information about HAF eligibility

Funded by the Department for Education, our FREE holiday activities and food (HAF) programme has been a huge success, providing healthy food and enriching activities for primary and secondary school-aged children eligible for benefits-related free school meals.

The HAF programme aims to support children to eat more healthily, be more active over the school holidays and have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition, as well as be more engaged with school and other local services.

Is my child eligible?

The HAF programme is primarily for children aged 4-18 years who are eligible for and receiving benefits-related free school meals (FSM), and their families. Children who are in receipt of a support plan via Early Help, Child In Need or Children We Look After, EHCP, or if your child receives additional hours at school, then you are also eligible for the HAF programme.
