About this Event
This session is ideal for recent graduates (graduated in the last 5 years) who are interested in a move into leadership and management or looking to understand how to make more of an impact in an individual contributor role through developing commercial awareness and managing up.
In addition to the core content on job seeking and applications, you’ll look at:
- Definitions of leadership and management
- Commercial awareness
- Team dynamics
- Setting SMART objectives
- Assertive communication
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Evaluation and improvement
This workshop is part of a wider coaching programme called Graduate Accelerator. If you are not already enrolled on the programme there will be an opportunity to learn more about the course and register your interest. In addition to 4 personalised coaching sessions, you’ll be expected to undertake around 6 hours of self-directed learning. Pre- and post-teaching tasks will be assigned, as will independent learning and activity between coaching sessions. The programme will take 6-8 weeks to complete, although there is flexibility depending on your availability.
