Like a Dandelion in the Sun by Carly Weaver
Mostly known for her grackle paintings, Carly Weaver, is exhibiting non grackle work. Like a Dandelion in the Sun, explores personal themes of sentimatility, motherhood, sexuaility and female physiological transitions inspired by her recent 50th birthday. Large pencil drawings of the artist in her late 40s coupled with large color pencil drawings of her young daughter capture sentimental and private moments of impermanance. New plaster cast sculptures compliment the drawings with plaster vessels holding nature inspired cast objects.
The Hollow: an immersive art installation
