Join us for a very special weekend of jubilee at Grace Pointe Baptist Church as we joyfully commemorate 50 years of God’s faithfulness in Middle River.Founded in 1976 by the late Reverend Hubert Hiatt, our church began as Community Baptist Church of Chase. What started as a step of faith has grown into five decades of gospel ministry, discipleship, and community impact. We are grateful for the vision, obedience, and faithfulness of those early days that laid the foundation for all God has done since.
On Saturday, June 13th at 5:00 PM, we will gather for a heartfelt anniversary dinner as we welcome back former pastors and their wives for this meaningful occasion. We are honored to have former pastor Dale Goodwin bring a special message, and we will enjoy a memorable video presentation reflecting on the rich history of Grace Pointe — the milestones, the ministries, the friendships, and the countless ways God has worked through His church over the years. If you have photos or special memories you would like included in the video presentation, we would love to hear from you — please reach out to the church office.
Sign ups for side dishes will be available at church in May.
Then on Sunday, June 14th, we will continue our celebration with a morning fellowship at 9:30 and special anniversary worship service at 10:45 AM. Former pastor Joe Smith will join us and share a message as we lift our hearts together in gratitude and praise.
We are profoundly thankful for the faithful pastors, their wives, and the many leaders who have sacrificially served and shepherded Grace Pointe through five decades. Their love, prayers, and dedication have shaped our church family and strengthened our witness in this community.
Together, we will celebrate God’s goodness, faithfulness, and steadfast lovingkindness in granting Grace Pointe 50 years of ministering, impacting lives, making disciples, and sharing the hope of the gospel in Middle River. As we look back with gratitude, we also look ahead with anticipation for what the Lord will continue to do.
