The Goyt Valley has it all: water, woods, fields, moors, and classic Peak District ridges. This guided hike begins in the peaceful valley before climbing steadily to Cats Tor and Shining Tor, the highest point in Cheshire.
The ridge walk between Cats Tor and Shining Tor offers sweeping views across the Peak District and Cheshire Plain, making it a true highlight of the day. With a mix of tranquil woodland, open moorland, and reservoir paths, this walk is varied, uplifting, and perfect for autumn exploring.
