Is there anyone out there who's talking about this?Welcome to Waterstones Gower Street's Forgotten Fiction Book Club - the book club that might just answer these questions for you.The Forgotten Fiction Book Club aims to rediscover great writers who have been unjustly neglected or have fallen out of print. Each month, we will be reading books from a plethora of genres including Science Fiction, Literary Fiction, Crime and much more!This month, we will be discussing journalist and writer, Sara Maitland. Well known and published in a wide array of magazines, newspapers, feminist journals and fiction collections, Maitland has been active from the seventies and still writes today. Yet her witty and perceptive social documents of the seventies and eighties has slipped out of the light.'The idea of being forgotten is terrifying. I fear not just that I, personally, will be forgotten but that we are all doomed to being forgotten...Writing a book is an act of sheer defiance.
