With over 13 years of experience in local government, John serves as a key leader within Mecklenburg County’s Business Diversity and Inclusion division. His mission is to expand opportunities for small businesses by increasing their engagement in County projects and procurement. John will share valuable insights on how businesses can position themselves to maximize visibility and build strong relationships with Mecklenburg County.
Jamari Timmons
As a Business Diversity & Inclusion Consultant, Jamari oversees informal construction projects and works directly with emerging businesses to break down disparities, create opportunities, and drive process improvements. With extensive experience in government and education, he provides strategic counseling to help small businesses engage with County contracts and strengthen their operations. Jamari is a proud graduate of NCCU and Queens University of Charlotte, committed to fostering growth, inclusivity, and efficiency in the local business ecosystem.
