Gosport Ice Skating Club offer a regular 'social skate' for members only, at a cost of £10 for up to 2-hours of skating. It's like a patch session, however no coaching is allowed - and we pop the disco lights on, have lower lighting, and quieter background music to enable us to be more SEN friendly.No booking required, but you must be a current GISC Member (membership is £10 one off fee) and pay for your social skate before stepping onto the ice! Our membership year runs from the 1st Oct > 30th Sept, with the cost of £10 being the same for whenever you join - https://membermojo.co.uk/gisc.
It's the perfect opportunity to skate with friends or make new ones - no upper or lower age limit - just the requirement to be Level 8 or above please (Skate Excellence or Skate UK) for membership.
Our winter timetable is slightly later (8.30pm for 2 hours) due to hockey taking precedence between September > May... however, our summer timetable tends to offer earlier slots - additionally, we also aim to also offer 2-3 fun and informal competitions per year to GISC members too.
8.30pm - 10.00pm - pure social skating (90 mins)
10.00pm - 10.30pm - bookable slots to run programmes on clear ice (10-12 slots available).
To book a programme slot - please pop us a message with your name and programme duration - and email a copy of your music to [email protected] - it'll be a 'first come first serve' basis - a couple of additional slots may become available on the night, depending on timings...
