About this event
Join NHSN Senior Naturalist, James Common, for a friendly, informal walk exploring the fascinating trees that thrive in Newcastle's urban spaces.
During this session, we’ll take a closer look at the trees of Heaton Park, including both native species and exotic varieties introduced for their beauty and interest.
From Tulip Trees and Walnuts to unusual Alders and the occasional oak, there will be plenty to discover and enjoy.
This will be a relaxed, exploratory walk. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. You may also wish to bring binoculars or a hand lens, as well as snacks or a warm drink in a flask.
