Our first GOS pelagic trip.The purpose will be to travel a few miles out of Swansea off the south Gower coast in order to see if a bit of chumming (putting out some smelly fish-based oily bait) can result in some shearwaters and petrels that are not commonly seen in our recording area being attracted in. We have chartered a boat that is normally used for recreational fishing.
Please express an interest to Jeremy early, as the boat will be restricted to 10-12 passengers. The cost is likely to be around £45 ppn. This event is open to GOS members only, given the limited place availability.
If it proves successful and well subscribed we will seek to run it in future years.
