Join Gorton Pagan Moot for their regular 2026 gatherings.
The moot was established in 2017 by a group of local residents who saw that there was a large Pagan community in and around Gorton with no place to meet and get together. This thriving, local moot is now happily based at the Monastery.
What can I expect?
A typical moot is really just an informal gathering of like-minded, nature-loving souls. We just meet for a chat and perhaps a Q&A session. If there are any questions that you have about any aspect of the Pagan path, bring them along and the moot will do their best to answer them. Simply grab a cuppa from the Welcome Café and come along and meet the tribe.
Please note that there won't be any ritual or ceremony at the moot.
What is Paganism?
Paganism is often a very misunderstood religion. In fact there are those in the Pagan community that would argue it isn't a religion at all but more a way of life. Pagans follow the cycles of nature and the moon, the seasons, and celebrate eight festivals, known as sabbats, throughout the year. The moot meets around the time of these sabbats.
