Type: circular
This circular walk takes us down through Gore Glen along the Gore Burn to meet the South Esk. We follow the Esk upstream through woodland and meadow to the hamlet of Temple, in its heyday a very important site of the Knights Templar in Scotland. After a short return by the Esk we cross into the farmland of the Arniston estate to make our way back to Gorebridge.
15 walkers. If you would like to join this walk, please get in touch with the walk leader by Tuesday evening of 21st April. Please also indicate if you need a lift from the meeting point LNRS or if you are happy to offer a lift.
In typical Midlothian landscape this is an 'up and down' walk. Walkers may wish to bring poles and boots are advised. There is an unfriendly gate to climb, one strand of electric fencing to duck under and a rather overgrown path to follow at the end of the walk.
For car sharing the meeting point is LNRS carpark - Glasgow side, EH54 8EG - at 8.30am.
