At Fringe, anything goes!

Territorial Acknowledgement
The Island Fringe Festival takes place in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This modern district of Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island) has been occupied by Indigenous Mi’kmaq People for over 12,000 years. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq title and established the rules for an ongoing relationship between nations.
🤝 Respect & Acceptance
We strive to create a safe, welcoming space for all—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or gender expression.
♿ Accessibility
Accessible parking is on the street. Entrance is at ground level. The event takes place about 7 steps up in their Black Box space—an elevator is available for anyone who needs it. Non-gendered washrooms are on the same floor as the Black Box space.
