The custom of meditating upon Jesus’ final journey to the Cross during the season of Lent dates back to the Middle Ages. The fourteen stations represent the scriptural and traditional events of Jesus’ journey from condemnation before Pilate to his death on the Cross and his entombment. We invite you to make your own journey through the fourteen stations of the Cross. Ponder Jesus’ actions, and what they mean for you. Allow yourself to sense the sights, sounds, and smells of the scenes, as though you were one of the crowd following Jesus as he travels to his death. Allow yourself to experience the drama of his passion. Continue to ponder the images of Jesus’ journey as you make your own journey through the Crucifixion and on to the glory of Easter morning.
