Hosted by the Diocese of Parramatta’s youth ministry office, the Good Friday Night Walk is an annual pilgrimage attended by hundreds of young people from across Western Sydney each year. Beginning late on Good Friday and continuing into the early hours of Holy Saturday, this overnight pilgrimage invites participants to journey together in prayer, reflection and reverence as we retrace the steps of Christ during the Easter Triduum. The pilgrimage begins at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Mary, Queen of the Family Parish, Blacktown, and concludes at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta, with an expected arrival at approximately 7:00am.
Check-in opens at 9:00pm on Good Friday at 51–59 Allawah Street, Blacktown, with all pilgrims required to be checked in and inside the church by 10:00pm. The full walk spans approximately 20km.
A $10 donation per person at registration will help us to cover the cost of the pilgrimage.
