Join us for a meaningful evening of reflection, compassion, and prayer as we gather in the spirit of Good Friday, a sacred day observed across many Christian traditions as a time to honor sacrifice, forgiveness, and the power of love in the face of suffering.
This Interfaith Compassion Candle & Prayer Vigil invites people of all spiritual paths to come together in a peaceful space dedicated to healing, unity, and hope for our world.
Facilitated by Interfaith Ministers Rev. Deidre Gillespie, Rev. Julia Stiles, and Rev. Angel Lehn, the evening will gently guide participants through moments of quiet reflection, candle lighting, prayer, and shared intention for personal healing and global peace.
Throughout the evening we will:
• Reflect on the deeper spiritual meaning of compassion and forgiveness
• Light candles as symbols of hope, healing, and remembrance
• Offer prayers and intentions with a meditation experience for peace in our communities and the world
• Create space for quiet contemplation and spiritual connection
• Hold compassionate presence for those experiencing grief, hardship, or uncertainty
This gathering is designed to be inclusive and welcoming, honoring the universal themes of compassion, mercy, healing, and renewal that are found across many spiritual traditions.
Participants will receive a candle to light during the vigil as we collectively hold intentions for healing, peace, and the upliftment of humanity.
Bring a friend, loved one, or simply bring your heart and presence as we share in a sacred evening of unity and reflection.
