Good Friday: Why is Good Friday called "Good" when it was the day Jesus was nailed to the cross and died? Doesn't seem very "good" to me!
The reason - in the past "good" meant "holy". So it is "Holy Friday" - the day we remember that Jesus gave his life for each of us, and by accepting his gift, all our wrongdoing is forgiven.
Come and join us at Bermagui Anglican Church Friday 3 April at 9am to remember that our sins are forgiven: through Jesus we have been made clean.
