π Good Friday Tenebrae Worship at St. James UMCJoin us on Good Friday for a solemn Tenebrae service as we remember the crucifixion of Jesus and reflect on the depth of His love for us.
π Friday, April 3 | 6:30 PM
π Sanctuary at St. James UMC
Tenebrae, meaning βdarkness,β is a traditional Good Friday service that leads us through the story of the cross with scripture and music while candles are gradually extinguished, symbolizing the growing darkness of the world as Jesus went to the cross.
During this service, the Passion story will be read from the Gospel of Mark, accompanied by music from our Adult Chancel Choir, creating a powerful atmosphere of worship and reflection.
Come experience this sacred journey through scripture, music, and silence as we prepare our hearts for the hope of Easter.
All are welcome. We invite you to join us for this meaningful evening of worship.
