We believe Good Friday is more than a tradition. It is where reconciliation begins.There was a time when we were far off, separated from Christ and without hope. The divide between us and God was real. Our sin created hostility that we could not overcome on our own.
At the cross, Jesus entered that separation. He took our sin into His own body and made peace through His sacrifice. The cross does not minimize the problem. It absorbs it.
Good Friday calls us to honest remembrance. Before we celebrate resurrection, we pause at the place where peace was made and access was opened.
And even here, in the weight of the cross, we hold onto hope. Sunday is coming.
