Gong Meditation for Deep Restwith Mark Owen-Ward

IJoin us for a gong meditation and ease your way into deep rest. Beat stress and help your body heal itself. A gong meditation helps the body go through a system reset reducing metabolic load and helping your cells focus on restoration.
We start the session with breath awareness and during the session move from using our sympathetic to para-sympathetic nervous system. Throughout the session, gongs are played in a soft manner style bring our bodies to this state of calm.
What to expect:
• A soft verbal welcome + invitation to settle
• 60 min of Gong resonance and periods of silence featuring several gongs
• Silent integration to close
• No prior experience necessary — just bring your body and breath
What to bring:
• We have plenty of yoga mats, cushions and bolsters. We have a few blankets and other props and you may want to bring your own extras (eg sheepskin, cosy blanket) to help you be really comfortable.
• An open mind and a willingness to slow down
