The Goldsmith Baynes project is a celebration between two musical souls. Allana and Mark have performed together for over 10 years and their musical bond comes from freedom, a shared trust, and mutual respect. Allana and Mark’s new album E Rere Rā is available on all streaming platforms and also to buy on Bandcamp.Allana Goldsmith is a Māori contemporary jazz artist who hails from the Tairawhiti region, East Coast of the North Island of Aotearoa/NZ. Her iwi (tribes) are Ngati Porou and Ngai Tai ki Torere. Allana released an EP of five original waiata in Te Reo Māori from 2015 to 2018. Three of which were funded by Te Māngai Pāho.
Allana and Mark have performed at the Aotearoa Music Awards 2021, Wellington Jazz Festival 2022, Auckland Arts Festival 2023, Tauranga International Jazz Festival 2023, Waiheke Jazz Festival, Taste of Pasifika Festival, and Matariki Festivals across Auckland.
