You're invited! Come check out the new Goldfish Swim School Nicholsville Road -- Lexington! We host a Family Swim event on Saturdays from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Whether you want to help your children practice their swimming skills or your family needs some bonding time, a Family Swim is a great way to spend an afternoon. Enjoy your day or evening in our shiver-free pool that’s heated to a pleasant 90°.
Members are FREE and non-members are $5/person and a max of $15/family. Payable at at the front desk on the day of the event.
What is Goldfish Swim School Family Swim?
A Fun & Beneficial Experience for Any Family
As a parent, you’re probably well aware that kids don’t truly know if they’ll enjoy something until they dive in and do it. Fortunately, most kids love the water.
This open swim time can benefit your whole family because:
You can teach your child about water safety & introduce him or her to the water
You can relax in our warm pool while your swimmer shows you his or her skill
You can determine if your child would benefit from swim lessons
Spending time in the pool together is a great way to get energy out
Your child will feel more comfortable with you in the water
Important Reminders:
- Please note that we do require reusable swim diapers (no disposable) in our pool; they hold in the contaminates best!
- For safety purposes, we require at least one adult to be in the water with each child who cannot swim independently during the open swim. Specific policies requiring adults in the water may vary by location. Some locations will also require that you register prior to attending our Family Swim.
- Only proper swim attire is permitted in the pool; no street clothes permitted.** SWIM TEST REQUIRED
- Our pool is 4'2'' deep. All children that cannot touch with their head above water will be required to pass a swim test at the start of open swim.In order to pass a swim test, the child must swim 25 feet across the width of the pool without struggle; Ellis Certified Lifeguard will make final determination.
- Lifejackets or puddle jumpers that fasten around the center are required for all children that do not pass. Coast guard approved life jackets are available at the facility. If a guardian chooses to accompany the child in the pool 100% of the time, they may remove floatation and practice swim skills with a parent.
- We do not allow single arm floaties that do not buckle around the chest for additional support.
