The tournament is held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the future venue for judo competitions during the 2028 Summer Olympics. Operational since 1990, this tournament has become a cornerstone of competitive judo in the country. As part of the sanctioned USA Judo National Point Tournament series, this event always brings in some of the country's top judo athletes together for an intense weekend of competition, skill-building, and community support.
