Let’s discover how Franklin Park developed from the site of Charles and Eliza Baum’s home and see how the coming of the electric streetcar opened the area to development. We’ll have a look at all the interesting architectural styles of the homes around the park. Let’s see how many of those styles we can identify and learn how to distinguish between them. Dennis will discuss many of the details of these styles, including Gothic Revival, Italianate, “Stick,” Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Craftsman. He’ll also share the story of the bungalow.
