JONAH BELSER (vocals) and TYLER GOLDSTEIN (guitar, vocals) have been brewing up music together since the wee age of nine. Hailing from Long Island, New York, the duo grew up singing classic rock and soul songs on the school bus and taught themselves how to play their instruments.
As founding members of The Treads, they performed original tunes on the Long Island music scene long before they were old enough to drive a car, file taxes, or uphold their commitments. Since moving to DC, they both play regularly with Rock Creek Kings, an indie pop/rock outfit that has quickly become one of the most in-demand bands in the area. Now, after years of procrastination and side quests, Jonah and Tyler are finally putting their minds together to create music that is 100% their own.
When you go to a Gold Bells show, you are guaranteed to hear thoughtful reflections on social and personal issues, experience countless surges of rhythmic energy, and witness a level of synchronicity only possible when you have played together for over twenty years. As Gold Bells and with other groups, Jonah and Tyler have graced stages along the Northeast including Rockwood Music Hall in New York, Stanhope House in New Jersey, and the 9:30 Club in DC, among others.
