Preparing a new program is never just about notes and rhythm, it’s often about finding an emotional connection. Hours, days, even months go into shaping each piece until it feels like part of you. Only then can you share it honestly, as a co-author of the story the music tells.
This program is a solo journey with a cast of “imaginary friends”: Johann, Frédéric, Pyotr, Sergey, Nikolai, and Astor. Each miniature is like sitting down for a cup of coffee with a friend; sometimes sharing a story, sometimes a worry, sometimes simply being present and listening.
Though rooted in the Romantic era, the program also features music by J.S. Bach. For me, Bach’s works have always felt deeply emotional; less like an old master from the past and more like a close companion whose voice I understand.
Come join me on this journey through intimate, expressive miniatures; where music becomes conversation, and each note is a moment shared.
