About this Event
Learn about the magic of paying attention from Willow Older and Deborah Huber, the founders of Today I Noticed mindfulness and authors/illustrators of “Today I Noticed: A Little Book of Mindfulness that Will Change the Way You See the World,” which was named a book of the week by Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper. During this playful, interactive workshop, Deborah and Willow will show how pausing to notice and then record some of life’s tiny, ordinary moments instantly grounds us in the present and makes life richer, more interesting, and more fun.
Willow and Deborah will also share how the simple prompt, “Today I noticed,” helps boost joy, connection, and gratitude—which we all need more than ever. They’ll explain how, ironically, they hit upon the idea of Today I Noticed because they weren’t paying attention. The workshop includes a noticing/writing/sketching session, where participants experience the power of paying attention firsthand and then leave knowing how to incorporate this simple and creative mindfulness practice into their daily life. Absolutely no art experience required!
Please bring your favorite notebook and pen or pencil, or come early and shop our in-store collections.
This workshop will be hosted in our third-floor workshop space, which is only accessible by stairs.
