Enjoy an extended Yin Yoga practice, a decadent and nourishing High Tea, and the deeply restorative immersion of a Sound Bath all held within the peaceful sanctuary of Riverdell.
Autumn is a season of harvest, a time to gather our energy and prepare for the cooler months ahead. Nature begins to soften. The days gradually shorten, leaves turn golden and fall, and the earth starts to draw inward in quiet preparation for winter.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is governed by the lung and large intestine.
The Lungs breathe in “the pure qi from the heavens,” while the Large Intestine teaches us to let go of what no longer serves. There is wisdom in this. Autumn invites us to clear out the drawers, simplify our spaces, soften relationships, and gently release what is complete. Keep what is essential. Let go of the rest.
In the modern world, we have drifted away from living in rhythm with the seasons. The ‘on’ button rarely switches off. Artificial lighting, busy schedules, devices and social media keep us stimulated long past nature’s cue to rest. Many of us are not necessarily overworking in our jobs, but we are overstimulated and under-nourished in quiet, receptive time.
We are not giving ourselves enough yin.

This half-day retreat is your invitation to move with yin ~ to slow down, soften, and restore balance. Through longer-held Yin postures, a beautifully prepared High Tea, and a deeply immersive Sound Bath, you will leave feeling grounded, nourished and replenished, inside and out.
