Ever wanted to learn a language but felt too shy to start? Or perhaps you’re a native Spanish speaker missing the rhythm of home? Welcome to a space where mistakes are celebrated and friendships are the priority!
Hosted by the energetic Lorena (a native Spanish speaker), this event is designed to get you talking. Lorena will guide the group through fun, dynamic themes that break the ice and keep the conversation flowing naturally. Whether you are swapping slang or sharing stories about life in Tassie, you’ll find a room full of supportive people ready to listen.
Who is this for?
Everyone! Whether you are a skilled migrant, a local Hobartian, a student, or a traveler. From absolute beginners to native speakers, if you value connection and culture, you belong here.
The Logistics
📍 Where: State Cinema (Meet us in the cafe/bar area!)
🕒 When: Saturday, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
🎟️ Investment: $5.00 per person.
🎓 Student Special: This event is FREE for students! (Please show your student ID on arrival).
🍷 Food/Drink: Drinks and snacks are available for purchase at the State Cinema bar to keep those vocal cords hydrated!
🚙 Parking/Transport: Street parking is available around North Hobart, but give yourself a few extra minutes—it’s a popular spot!
