Global Voices for Peace: The Horn of Africa and Europe
The American Friends Service Committee, a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, the Hon. Marco Tarquinio and the Hon. Dario Nardella, S&D, are honored to invite you to join us at a convening to be held at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, on December 10th, 2025, from 6 to 8 pm.
The convening will focus on the critical geopolitical role of the Horn of Africa in these uncertain times and will advocate for an increased engagement in the area by the European Union to fill the void left by the United States.
It will also be the last event in our Voices for Peace 2025, a dialogue series convening insightful thinkers and activists to discuss this global crisis. We have been examining the shifting political climate, including the rise of authoritarianism in the United States and elsewhere, increasing repression, the weakening of multilateral cooperation, and the critical implications for the global peace and development agenda.
