We are very excited to be back for another year of the Glimmerglass Triathlon! The 2026 race will include a paddle, bike and run on Saturday, August 22.LOCATION
Racers will begin the race on a kayak or canoe with a 1.5 mile open water paddle. Starting at the beachfront, the route will follow the protected Glimmerglass Bay on Otsego Lake. After the paddle and upon arrival at the beach, racers will transition to their bikes staged near the Lakefront Pavilion. The bike portion of the race will take riders 18 miles north of Glimmerglass State Park on secondary roads. Racers will dismount from their bikes and finish the last stretch of the race on foot. This year’s run is a shortened 5K course (previously 10K) that includes a crossing of the historic Hyde Hall foot bridge and winds through the wooded trails and open spaces of Glimmerglass State Park.
COST
Race registration includes official timing from the Clark Sports Center events team, commemorative race sweatshirt, finisher medal, food and a free finish beer for those 21+.
SOLO with Kayak • Non-refundable entry fee is $75 per person if received on or before August 20.
SOLO with Canoe • Non-refundable entry fee is $75 per person if received on or before August 20.
3 Person Kayak Team • Non-refundable entry fee is $150 per team if received on or before August 20.
4 Person Canoe Team • Non-refundable entry fee is $175 per team if received on or before August 20.
REGISTRATION

Box 850, Cooperstown, NY 13326. No refunds will be provided.
EVENT SCHEDULE & TIMES
Friday, August 21
5:00–7:00pm • Bags may be picked up at Glimmerglass State Park.
Saturday, August 22
6:30–8:00am • Day of registration and bag pick-up at Glimmerglass State Park.
9:00am • Triathlon start
Race Finish • A post race lunch is included for all racers and other choices available for sale.
AWARDS
Race medals will be distributed to every finisher.
AID STATIONS
Water stations will be positioned along the running route. GU Gels and sports drinks will be on the bike route but athletes are encouraged to bring what they use training.
EQUIPMENT DROP OFF/STAGING
• Bikes and kayaks/canoes can dropped off in staging areas Saturday morning only from 6:00-8:00am.
• Bikes will be staged in Glimmerglass State Park.
• Participants are required to provide their own equipment for the race (bikes, kayaks/ canoes). We have a limited supply of rental kayaks available. Rentals available for selection through registration process. Bikes may be available for rent at local bike shops.
