An iconic piece of LGBT film history, Ed Wood’s directorial debut is an astonishingly sympathetic look at crossing dressing in the early 1950s. Thoughtful and surreal, Glen or Glenda utilizes a unique narrative style to relay the dual stories of a crossdresser, Glen, and Alan, an intersex person preparing to undergo reassignment surgery.
