Glass Fusing Workshop - Ransom's Pavilion, Hitchin

In this two hour session, you will be taught the basics of working with glass with demonstrations and tips for successful glass fusing techniques. You will be taught how to score and break glass safely, and how to work with a variety of inclusions. We will be making pendants and hanging glass ornaments - please see the attached photographs for examples.
I am a fully qualified teacher with over 25 years’ experience and have been teaching glass workshops for 12 years. My work is inspired by natural forms, mainly flowers, foliage, and the seaside.
After the workshop the glass will be fused in a kiln and will be posted within two weeks. I will explain how this will work on the day of the workshop but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However I am happy to accept participants aged 10+ as long as they are accompanied by a paying parent/guardian but please contact me before booking.
