Step into my bright and beautiful Studio and fall a little bit in love with Glass Bead making, using the mesmerising process of Lampworking.
As an Experienced Lampworker and Glass Artist, I have run my own successful independant Glass Jewellery Brand for 4 years. Now I'd love to welcome you into the Studio and introduce you the beginner techniques on the Flame - you really will fall in love with melting molten glass, trust me!
The process of beadmaking and sculpting your Molten Glass into little Glass beads is truly mesmerising, and you really get into a state of flow with the technique.
I'll show you three Bead making techniques. Round, Flat, and Spiky Beads - and you will make as many beads as you can within the hour you will be on the Flame.
Most people make between 3-5 Glass Beads.
Half an hour before working with the Flame will be dedicated towards choosing the glass colours you will be working with and going through Health and Safety / Flame guidance.
1 hour will be dedicated to your time on the flame. Here’s where the magic happens!
The last half an hour will be your bead reveal!
Using the beads you have made in the class, we will spend around half an hour getting creative and mapping out the layout of your bead placement, on your charm necklace. All over a glass of prosecco, non-alcoholic prosecco, or a hot drink. It's a fun, laidback and creative experience.
Once bead layout is mapped out I will make a record of your Necklace design. I will anneal your beads in the kiln to strengthen, clean and professionally finish your beads. Next, I will assemble your beads onto your Charm Necklace and send in the post within 7 days of your workshop. To which you will be reunited with your very own handcrafted beads, assembled onto your Charm Necklace, and ready to be styled and loved by you. You will come away with a special and truly sentimental necklace you can firmly say no one another person will own.
As an added little treat, all workshop participants will receive a 25% discount to use at the studio, online or at a market. Just as a little extra on top of an already gorgeous experience.

The studio is accessible by train (just a 5–10-minute direct train from Liverpool Centre to Birkenhead Hamilton Square, and less than one minute walking distance from there.
Accessible by Car, with pay and display car parks in front and behind the studio.
Unfortunately, the Class isn’t wheelchair accessible due to my studio being on the 2nd floor of a Georgian listed building.
For health and safety reasons, please wear sensible clothing for flameworking. Long sleeved tops and trousers, no floaty clothing, hair tied back if long, no highly flammable clothing (preferably cotton if possible.)
