About Dr. Jane Méndez

Dr. Jane Méndez, M.D., FACS is a breast surgical oncologist and Chief International Liaison at Baptist Health’s Miami Cancer Institute. She is board certified in surgery, fellowship-trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and educated at Harvard University and Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency.

Before joining Miami Cancer Institute, she practiced at Boston Medical Center, serving as president of the medical and dental staff, director of surgical clerkship, and associate professor at Boston University.

Dr. Méndez is widely published in breast cancer research, has presented at national and international conferences, and sits on the editorial board of the Annals of Surgical Oncology. She is recognized for her patient care, community education, and advocacy, including service on the board of Susan G. Komen Massachusetts.

She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and active in professional organizations such as the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
