The famous night club "Park Lane" in collaboration with Wauxhall Jazz and Göteborg Jazz Orchestra sets a new standard for jazz in Göteborg.We are proud to invite one of Sweden's leading saxophonists to our event October 7th - Fredrik Lindborg!
Special event with slightly diffferent hours: doors open at 19.00 and the concert starts after that. Look out for competitions, handouts and happenings in the foyer!
FREDRIK LINDBORG – saxophonist, composer, band leader - is one of Sweden's most sought after jazz musician with an expression taken from the great jazz titans. His sound is big and musty, he swings hard and the ideas never seem to run out.
He has been awarded many prizes, such as the Dompan prize "Guldsaxen", the Bert Levin scholarship and not least the Lars Gullin prize. Fredrik also played the part of Dompan (Arne Domnérus) in the film “Monica Z” - the most watched Swedish film that year winning several national awards.
Fredrik is highly appreciated for his inventive improvisations, his strong passion, and the convincing rhythm in his phrasing as well as his strong and warm sound. Fredrik is proficient in many of the genres of jazz, from early swing to modern jazz.

GÖTEBORG JAZZ ORCHESTRA is one of the most exciting movements in Swedish jazz. The big band has made a rocket career and in a short time established on the highest level. In their love to music they always look for new expressions and they attract collaborations with the best musicians - domestic and abroad. They often reach over the genre barriers with new formats.
