GIZMO WITH GUESTS FIRERBALL KID AND HI,LOW — LIVE AT MILLS HARDWARE!Gizmo are Charlottetown rockers inspired by the guitar-damaged pop of 1990s American slacker bands and their contemporaries on Canada’s east coast. A 120 Minutes band for the Gen Z set, they breathe new life into their vintage influences with a distinctive songwriting style and frenetic live show. They emerged to acclaim with 2023’s Buddy System EP and are readying a forthcoming full-length debut, produced by Alex Edkins (METZ, Weird Nightmare), and Loel Campbell (Wintersleep).

Maritime-expats-turned-Montrealers Fireball Kid boil the wooden creaks and kitchen parties of east coast upbringings down into a wistful indie rock potion. After their audacious party-pop debut record Emotional Bros Hotline, they followed up with patchwork synth-pop epic Gas Station. Now, their upcoming LP Deer Path Turn To A Shortcut pivots from their foundational raucous pop sound to a textured, acoustic world locked in a folky summer dusk. Fireball Kid dig their heels into all the joy and heartbreak of partying, haunted port city hillsides, and family curses, standing waist deep in their own ongoing ghost story with a lantern in one hand and a tall cold one in another.

hi, low is a project that began as a way for two buddies to hang out and make goofy noises on a Tascam tape recorder. They've since become a real band with music and instruments reminiscent of your first guitar plugged into a karaoke machine with at least a million pedals in between. hi, low makes crunchy lofi ear candy for people with attachment issues, and for themselves.
