About this Event
Gizmo’s Pawesome Guide to Mental Health is a child-friendly, evidence-informed resource designed to help youth understand and care for their mental health. Presented by Gizmo, a therapy dog and mascot for Connecticut’s suicide prevention campaign, the guide introduces mental health concepts in a non-threatening way, helping young people recognize warning signs, practice healthy coping strategies, and learn how to connect with trusted adults. Developed through a statewide youth suicide prevention initiative, the guide encourages proactive communication and helps youth create a personal mental health plan they can use every day and during times of need to support lifelong wellness and safety. 🐾💙
