Given Half a Chance (produced by Todd Benzin, Amy Feder, and Caitlin Steitzer) is a quarterly show at Buffalo Improv House, where celebrated actors in Buffalo are on script and the improvisers they are paired with are not — they don’t even know what play they are doing a scene from! What happens is a hilarious and dynamic show of commitment and justification, showcasing the talent of our city’s scripted actors and the deftness of our improvisers.Given Half a Chance is a two-night event, with the same cast of scripted actors paired with different improvisers each night — no scene will be the same!

Our creative team and faculty have decades of experience performing, teaching, and producing comedy both locally and internationally, at places such as the Magnet Theater, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, the Second City, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the New York Comedy Festival. Our world-class improv training program is rooted in the principals of long form improv and our curriculum is designed to train folks to be excellent improv performers while having a ton of fun.
