A Space Where You Belong. Most professional events ask you to "pitch" yourself. We’re asking you to be yourself.
About this Event

Most International Women’s Day events ask you to listen. We’re asking you to invest.

The "Give to Gain" theme of IWD 2026 and its philosophy are built on the belief that when women thrive, we all rise. But we know that walking into a room of strangers can be daunting.

The Reciprocity Exchange isn't about having the loudest voice; it’s about the quiet power of showing up for one another.

This is a curated space designed to build self-esteem, confidence, and genuine connection. Whether you are a CEO, a corporate leader, a student, a freelancer, or currently navigating a career break, your presence is the "Give."

On March 18th, we aren't just celebrating achievements; we are building the infrastructure for future ones.

The Practice of Reciprocity

We believe everyone has something to offer, and everyone has a reason to grow. If "networking" feels like a daunting skill set, remember, this isn't a pitch; it’s a conversation.

We’ve designed this experience to take the pressure off. Whether you are an extrovert or a quiet thinker, we provide you with our curated Reciprocity Prompts ahead of the event. These are designed to help you bridge the gap, start the flow, and skip the small talk the moment you arrive.

All conversations are welcome here. Whether you're discussing a high-level business merger or sharing a recommendation for a local book club, you are building the social fabric that helps our community thrive.

The goal is simply to get the reciprocity going.

A Timeline of Exchange

12:00 | Arrive

Enter the historic Bonded Warehouse and settle in. This is your time to arrive, breathe, and grab a high-energy lunch. No "performance" required, show up as you are.

12:30 | Shared Wisdom

We’re hosting three 5-minute "Impact Talks" from Manchester’s leading voices. These aren't polished lectures; they are raw, honest stories of how "Giving" changed the trajectory of their careers and built their confidence.

1:00 | The Reciprocity Lab - Connecting the Dots

This is where the magic happens. Based on what you are looking for, we’ll guide you toward people who might be looking for exactly what you have to offer, and vice versa.

  • The Mentorship Map - Where wisdom meets ambition.
  • The Investment Hub - Discussing economic empowerment in a safe, collaborative space.
  • The Creative Corridor - Connecting on projects and shared passions.

1:45 | The "Wall of Gain" - Visualising Our Power

Watch as the room’s collective power comes to life. Our "Reciprocity Wall" will fill with offers of help and requests for support. You’ll leave with the tangible proof that you belong to a community that chooses to rise together.

Before you head back to your desk, pin your "Give" and your "Gain" to our physical match-making wall.

Our team will facilitate digital introductions for all matches made during the session.

Why Join Us?
  • Rooted in Confidence. We focus on building you up, not just filling your contacts list.
  • No-Pressure Networking. Our guided flow and reciprocity prompts ensure you’re never left standing on the sidelines.
  • Authentic Connection. Every conversation, no matter how small, is a step toward collective growth.

"Investing in women isn't just the right thing to do; it’s the most effective way to grow our local economy."
