This May, the NYC Classical Guitar Society proudly presents Italian virtuoso Giuseppe Buscemi—a Naxos recording artist, international competition winner, and one of today’s unique voices on classical guitar.
Buscemi has captivated audiences across Europe and the United States, performing in distinguished venues including Carnegie Hall, the Tenri Cultural Institute, and Columbia University. His artistry bridges eras and styles with uncommon fluency, from Baroque masterworks to bold contemporary premieres—on both classical and electric guitar.
A dedicated champion of new music and chamber collaboration, Buscemi has premiered works by leading composers and recorded four critically acclaimed albums, including his 2022 Naxos release Italian Guitar Rarities. Critics and international radio broadcasts alike praise his expressive depth, technical command, and imaginative programming.
Currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the Manhattan School of Music, Buscemi represents the next generation of global guitar artistry—rooted in tradition, yet fearlessly innovative.
