For the first time in history, the legendary cycling tour of Italy – Giro d’Italia – chooses Bulgaria for its 'Grande Partenza' (grand start), and Burgas is at the heart of the action! 🚴♂️🔥For the 109th edition of the race, Burgas will welcome more than 3,000 participants and team members in May 2026. Italy is coming to the seaside, and the event program will be more than exciting. 🌊
Burgas will be a “hot” spot on the race route:
📅 May 6 (Wednesday) – official presentation of the contestant teams
🏁 May 8 (Friday) – Finish of Stage 1
🚩 May 9 (Saturday) – Start of Stage 2
Expect days filled with sporting thrills, open-air music and cultural events. 🎶🎭🌅

📅 6 май (сряда) – официално представяне на отборите
🏁 8 май (петък) - финалът на първия етап от надпреварата
🚩 9 май (събота) - старта на втория етап
