International Women's Day this year is extra special for Girlz B Like. We are the vinyl-only platform which spotlights the talent of women DJs, it also happens to be the third anniversary of us being residents at Grow in Hackney Wick. Come down on Saturday, 8th March for a night of select Disco, classic and deeper House gems, Broken Beat, Boogie, Jazz, Gospel and other dance-a-lot pure vinyl sounds to keep you in the groove between 8pm and 3am.
West London queen DJ Dubois has been a formidable favourite at our parties for the last six seasons. Her recent DJ adventures have seen her travel to places in South America, the USA, and spin at numerous London spots, so it's wonderful to have while she is back home.
We are proud to welcome new talent who we can see are sincere in their support for all that is and surrounds the culture of record collectors and the vinyl industry. For the London based yoga and dance doyan who is one half of DJ duo selectors and collectors Liminal People, Paloma is beginning to make good noise on the street in the short time she has been playing. Her debut set at GBL is going to hold great promise for our regulars and first time partygoers alike.
As usual expect a sound excursion from the hostess Marcia "DaVinylMC" Carr to take us all to the highest heights in rounding off the night just right.
The Girlz B Like platform now in its tenth year hashtag #GirlzBLikeis10 and as such we will doing the most to splash out on some treats to highlight this big milestone of our journey - keep up to date by signing up to our newsletter via the website www.girlzblikedjs.com
