About this Event

Gratuit. Don recommandé : 5 $.

A series of German films with French subtitles, selected around a defined theme, presented by the Goethe-Institut Ottawa at the Alliance française d'Ottawa (352, rue MacLaren, K2P 0M6) since spring 2025:

Girls/Museum
Germany, 2021, 74 min.
Director: Shelly Silver

This documentary follows a group of girls aged between seven and 19 from a wide variety of backgrounds as they tour the exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig. They share their thoughts on the artworks: they observe, describe, comment, and classify, while the camera captures both the artworks and their viewers. In this way, the contributions not only teach us something about the works, but also a lot about the girls themselves. “Girls/Museum” tells us a lot about art and gender relations and takes a young, feminist perspective on artworks and museums.

Original with French subtitles.
Free of charge. Recommended donation $5.
