Evento STEM de IEEE para niñas de escuela intermedia
About this Event
Girls in grades 5 to 8 will explore relevant problems and learn skills that are needed to become scientists and engineers. Through the day, they will learn how science, technology, engineering and math can be applied to resolve real world challenges.
Students can choose from workshops on chemistry, circuits, gravity, programming, solar energy, or sound.
This event is organized by the IEEE Buenaventura Section, with the gracious hospitality of Isbell Middle School in Santa Paula. The event is supported by STEM professionals and IEEE volunteers. Event is free of charge, but capacity is limited. Lunch will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE
- Doors open at 9:30 AM.
- Parents are welcome to join the workshops after 2:00 PM to see what their daughters have learned.
- Parking: The main parking lot and event entrance is on the 400 block of Harvard Blvd.

Las niñas en los grados 5 a 8 se convertirán en científicas e ingenieras por un día. Explorarán cómo la ciencia, la tecnología, la ingeniería y las matemáticas pueden ayudar a sostener nuestro planeta.
Los estudiantes pueden elegir entre talleres de química, circuitos, gravedad o magnetismo; con un enfoque en cómo estas tecnologías se pueden utilizar de forma sostenible.
Este evento es organizado por la Sección IEEE Buenaventura, con la gentil hospitalidad de Isbell Middle School en Santa Paula. El evento cuenta con el apoyo de mujeres y hombres en profesiones STEM.
El evento es gratuito, pero el aforo es limitado. Se proporcionará almuerzo.
