Girls' Improv Comedy Workshop - International Women's Day Workshops
Workshop Description:
This high-energy improv workshop invites young girls to step into their power, use their voices, and take up space—loudly and proudly!
Through playful games, creative exercises, and lots of laughter, students will learn the basics of improvisation while building confidence, teamwork, and trust. We’ll practice making big choices, saying “yes” to our ideas, supporting our teammates, and showing up as our full, fearless selves. No scripts, no wrong answers - just imagination, collaboration, and courage.
A Note on Cost:
We charge a small fee of $10, which supports instructor fees, art supplies, and ongoing support for the International Women's Day Art Show into the future. We do not want cost to be a barrier to access, so if you're unable to pay please use the dicount code FREETHEART for a no-fee class.

About Grand Forks International Women's Day Art Show
Inspired by celebrations around the world, Arts for Vets, ERA Now, and the Women's Fund host an annual art show, to be held on March 7 in 2026 at the Arts for Vets Gallery (215 N 3rd St.) To learn more about how International Women's Day started, you can find a timeline here: https://www.internationalwomensday.com/Timeline

About the Instructor:
Gina Uhlir has been an active member of the Grand Forks theatre scene for the past decade. She studied Musical Theatre at The University of North Dakota. Gina is a director, actor, and has performed in sketch comedy and improv troupes. She has extensive experience in TYA (theatre for young audiences) and in theatre education.
