Welcome to the Girls and Women Violence Network Conference! Join us on Thursday 21st November 2024 at 9am at The Nottingham Mechanics Institute to find out more about the services offering support to women in Nottingham.
This in-person event aims to bring together community groups and professionals concerened about women's safety. There will be the opportunity to listen to presentations from specialist services covering domestic abuse, sexual violence, Severe and Multiple Disadvantage (SMD) Navigators. There will also be stalls and the chance to network with like-minded individuals.
Speakers from Equation, Juno Women’s Aid, Nottinghamshire Sexual Violence Support Services, Nottingham Women’s Centre - Changing Futures, and Al-Hurraya.
About the Girls and Women Violence Network (GWVN)
The GWVN is run by a number of statutory and voluntary sector organisations in Nottingham. The network objective is to share knowledge, skills and the tools available to work with all women and girls affected by violence and abuse. Ensuring that all groups have the opportunity to develop safe practice and appropriate signposting working with these topics and other emerging issues.
