Girl Scouts from across Illinois and surrounding states are invited to gather in Springfield for a one-of-a-kind day of leadership, learning, and celebration. This year’s event is extra special as we honor the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence!Spend the day discovering government in action and exploring the rich history of downtown Springfield, including the iconic Illinois State Capitol.

• Girl Scout flag ceremony
• History expo experience
• March to the Capitol
• Special guest speakers
• Kickoff balloon drop (yes, it’s back!)
• Afternoon adventure exploring downtown museums and historic sites
• Event passport stamp challenge. Collect 3+ stamps to earn an additional fun patch
Lunch is on your own during the day as troops and families explore.

🚌 Transportation is available from Vernon Hills, Burbank, Greene Wood, Joliet, and Schererville gathering places. Final travel details will be shared after registration closes.

Adults must be registered and are responsible for meeting required girl-to-adult ratios.
This is not a drop off event. Girl Scouts must attend with a parent/guardian or troop.
The Illinois Attorney General provides a letter for school absence on this day.
