We are absolutely not making a three-course meal.
Girl Dinner Club is a once-a-month gathering for women who are done performing, done hosting, and done being serious for at least 90 minutes.
Here’s how it works:
Everyone brings enough of her favorite “girl dinner” food to share (about 10 portions), we lay it all out buffet-style, and enjoy an unapologetically random spread together while we make some crappy crafts.
What the hell is girl dinner?
You know when you’re home alone and don’t have to worry about the preferences of your toddler, your partner’s dietary needs, or whether or not everyone in your household is getting proper nutrition so you grab yourself a handful of grapes, three Hershey kisses, and bowl of popcorn and call it a meal?
That’s girl dinner and we all know it’s awesome because it’s yummy, no one is complaining about it, and we don’t have to try so hard.
Need more examples?
Think:
- Cheese and crackers
- A giant bag of peanut M&Ms
- Pasta salad from the deli
- Cut-up fruit or veggies
- Dry cereal and pickles
- Hummus and whatever vehicle for hummus you like
Basically, whatever you’ve been eating straight out of the container lately.
Store-bought, maybe even from the gas station 10 minutes prior? Great.
Low effort? Better be.
Weird flavor combo? Who cares.
We’ll pile everything onto a table, build chaotic little plates, and eat like women who survived another month.
As for the craft, we’re talking…
Friendship bracelets.
Rock painting.
Crappy craft kits from the store.
Just creativity for the sake of creativity and zero expectation that it’ll look like anything other than a hot mess when you’re done.
It’s sitting next to other women, eating snack plates, making something slightly crooked, and remembering that we are allowed to take up space without impressing anyone.
COST: $25 per month (Covers craft supplies, space, and the fact that you don’t have to organize a single thing.)
