Gira Soul Music Festival

Come join us for a fun day at Farquhar Park on September 13, 2025 at 12:00 PM! Let's enjoy some music, play games, and spin around under the open sky. Tickets are free, but you're encouraged to donate, even if its just a dollar! All ticket sales are split 50/50 between the artists (as a bonus, don't worry they're getting paid!) and donations towards park improvement projects with York City.

Project funding goals are:

$0-100: New equipment for monthly trash pick-up walks. (2nd Sundays)

$101-200: New park equipment (hoop netting, swing chain replacement)

$201-500: Park facilities cleaning and pressure washing

$500-1,000: Commissioned mural on Farquhar bathrooms

$1,001-5,000: Farquhar Park Master Plan Improvement Project Donation

$5,000+: Solar installation on James E. Gross Park pavilion!

This is our first Spin the Sun event! The goal of Spin the Sun is to share some laughter and joy within our community at the tail end of summer, and try to raise money to put back into the community while we're at it. Remember to bring your sunscreen, sunglasses, and a big smile! See you there!
